1. Record position+depth data on your instrument.
2. Transfer the data to your computer.
3. Import the data in DrDepth and create maps.
4. Export iso/contour lines that you can display on the instrument.

To improve your maps you can easily combine your depth/position data with shore line data to make a perfect map of for example your lake. You can export the map in a range of common image formats (.bmp/.jpg/.png/.gif) and there are plenty of options to vary the style of the map and the object to be included on it.

If you will be using the map in electronic format, DrDepth can autogenerate calibration files for Fugawi and Ozi Explorer. You can also present your maps as overlays in Google Earth:

DrDepth will also output map data/contours in a range of vector formats:
- Lowrance user data (.usr)
- Polish format (.mp)
- OziExplorer track (.plt)
- GPS eXchange format (.gpx)
- ESRI shape files (.shp)
- AutoCad (.dxf)
 

The functionality of DrDepth can be extended with add on modules. The BT version adds functions to map the hardness of the bottom. Bottom hardness is extracted by analysing the sonar return in the log file.

The functionality of DrDepth can be extended with add on modules. The SS-version draws sidescan data as geo referenced mosaic. This way you will not only see WHAT is hiding on the bottom but also WHERE. Sidescan data from Lowrance LSS-1 can be viewed LIVE using Lowrance ethernet!
